West Ham fans fume at latest transfer update

Claret and Hugh have claimed that West Ham’s chances of signing Bournemouth forward Josh King are very slim as things stand. And some Hammers fans have taken to Twitter in reaction to the update.

West Ham opened talks to sign the Cherries striker yesterday, according to a report from the Telegraph.

And Sky Sports are claiming that Bournemouth want around £18 million for King.

David Moyes desperately needs to bring another striker to the London Stadium before next Friday’s deadline.

But it seems as though we might just miss out on King.

Claret and Hugh reckon the 28-year-old’s £90k-a-week wage demands are proving to be somewhat of a stumbling block. The deal will also include a huge agent fee according to C&H.

The frustrating thing for us fans is that we know the owners could afford to sign King if they really wanted him.

We have sold Jordan Hugill, Albian Ajeti, Josh Cullen and Grady Diangana already. And Pablo Zabaleta, Carlos Sanchez and Jack Wilshere have been released amongst others.

But it seems as though, yet again, the owners are making some kind of lowball offer for a player so they can turn round and say, ‘we tried’.
