Some West Ham fans have taken to Twitter demanding that Declan Rice be made captain in place of Mark Noble.

The Hammers were woeful against Wolves at the London Stadium on Saturday.
There were plenty of poor performers for West Ham. And Noble was arguably one of the worst. He is the club captain and he will undoubtedly end his Hammers career as a legend.
But his powers are clearly waning. And the 33-year-old didn’t even lead by example on Saturday.
Rice, on the other hand, was his leading from the back. He was very vocal and didn’t really put a foot wrong.
Is it time to give the 21-year-old the armband, in spite of his tender years?
Many West Ham fans seem to think it’s a no-brainer…
Next up for the Hammers is a trip to north London to take on Tottenham tomorrow night. It is highly unlikely that Moyes will hand Rice the captain’s armband instead of Noble. Unless the 33-year-old is left out all together of course.
The seven-capped England international proved that he has leadership qualities when speaking to the media after the Wolves game.
Rice said:
“We need to lift our heads up for Tuesday. I’ve got to be a leader and I’ve got to talk so that’s what I do, I speak to the players and try to encourage them.”
It sounds like he is well up to the task. Let’s just see if Moyes is brave enough to make what would be a very big call for his side’s trip to Tottenham tomorrow night.
