According to a report from Transfer 20, West Ham are in pole position to sign Chelsea midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko this summer. Some Hammers fans don’t seem to be too keen on the prospect of the Frenchman join them, however.

David Moyes will surely be looking to bolster his central midfield ranks at the London Stadium at the end of the season.
Carlos Sanchez will definitely leave when his contract expires. Declan Rice has been linked with a big money move away from east London (Daily Star) and Mark Noble, 33, is not the player he once was.
Transfer 20 suggest that West Ham boss David Moyes could be targeting a move to sign Chelsea star Tiemoue Bakayoko in an effort to shore up his engine room.
Le 10 Sport claimed earlier this month that Frank Lampard is willing to sanction the 25-year-old’s exit from Stamford Bridge. And it has been suggested that it will take around £31.4 million to prise Bakayoko away from west London.
That does seem like a lot of money for someone who struggled to adapt to the Premier League with Chelsea.
The 25-year-old has shown improvements during his loan spells with AC Milan last season and Monaco this term, however.
But perhaps he is just more suited to the slower paced Italian and French leagues.
The midfielder, who earns £110,000 per week (Spotrac), joined Chelsea from Monaco in the summer of 2017 for around £40 million (BBC).
But it seems as though his time at Stamford Bridge could already be up.
Some West Ham fans made it very clear on Twitter that they don’t want Bakayoko signed this summer…
