West Ham fans absolutely love what Craig Dawson did against Rapid Vienna late on in the game on Thursday night.

Things really are very rosey at the London Stadium at the moment. And David Moyes will be absolutely delighted with his side’s start to the season.

One of West Ham strengths this season has been that when the second string players have come in, they have really impressed.


One of those is Craig Dawson.

The 31-year-old was brilliant on Thursday against Rapid Vienna. He puts his body on the line every time he takes to the pitch. And the London Stadium faithful absolutely love him.

Not only has Daws exceeded expectations in East London but he has proven that he is actually a really good defender at the very highest level.

Sure, he’s not the most technically gifted player, but he plays with his heart on his sleeve, is great in the air and doesn’t give the opposing strikers an easy ride whatsoever.

He showed all of that in abundance again on Thursday.
