According to a report from Danish media outlet BT, West Ham are very close to signing Silkeborg centre-back Frederik Alves, with the Leeds linked player thought to be in London ahead of a proposed medical.

Leeds wanted to sign the young ace as well according to BT.
The Hammers were linked with a 10 million DKK (£1.2 million) move to sign the 20-year-old last month (Danish website Bold).
And it seems as though West Ham have beaten Leeds to the signature of Alves.
BT suggest that the Silkeborg defender is currently in London ahead of a proposed move to the London Stadium. We obviously won’t be able to make the transfer official until the transfer window opens on January 1st, however.
The 20-year-old, who stands at 6ft 3in tall, has already made 48 senior appearances for Silkeborg (Transfermarkt).
He is a powerful and aerially commanding centre-back. The young Dane seems to have all of the attributes needed to succeed in the Premier League.
If West Ham do complete the signing of Alves for just £1.2 million, David Moyes might just be securing a real bargain for the club. And we would obviously be dealing a blow to Leeds at the same time.
Let’s just hope that West Ham have unearthed a gem. All the early signs point to the fact that we have done exactly that.
