West Ham co-owner David Sullivan responds to shock Mark Noble resignation rumours when speaking to Hammers News.
Noble returned to West Ham earlier this month in a newly created sporting director role.
There is no hiding the fact the legendary Hammers figure has been hugely missed off the pitch and in the West Ham dressing room this season.
So supporters were reassured by his return to the club in an official capacity on January 2nd after bringing the curtain down on his career as a West Ham player last May following 550 senior appearances across 18 years in a Claret and Blue shirt.
West Ham stated Noble will ‘work closely in support of manager David Moyes, as well as working with the Board of Directors, providing input, advice, and assistance across all aspects of the football operation’.

That in itself has made for an intriguing position given Moyes is a man under pressure – certainly on the terraces and in the media – with the club in and around the relegation zone in the table.
The arrival of striker Danny Ings and a first win in eight games at the weekend lightened the gloom around West Ham.
But rumours surfaced on social media this week that Noble had resigned suddenly from his new role just three weeks into the job.

The speculation gathered momentum on social media and West Ham forums.
And now West Ham co-owner Sullivan has responded to the shock Noble resignation rumours.
Speaking to Hammers News, Sullivan offered an emphatic one-word description of the talk that Noble has stepped down.

“Rubbish!” Sullivan told Hammers News on Tuesday afternoon.
So there you have it West Ham fans. The majority owner says there is nothing in the talk Noble has resigned.
That would have – undeniably – been a huge blow to the Hammers in the thick of a relegation battle.
But we’re happy to see Sullivan put the “rubbish” in the bin by dismissing the rumours.
Hammers News recently praised Noble after he did an interview in which he showed he is clearly on the ball when it comes to West Ham’s future recruitment plans.
