West Ham and Tottenham players could end up having a huge bearing on the outcome of the EURO 2020 semi-final clash between England and Denmark on Wednesday night.
Declan Rice and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg have both been crucial players for their countries at the Euros this summer.
The Hammers and Spurs stars play in similar positions.
Their job is to protect their back-lines…and they have both done it incredibly well for England and Denmark respectively.
The Three Lions are still yet to concede a goal in five games at EURO 2020 whilst the Danes have only let five in.
West Ham and Tottenham battle to define England vs Denmark EURO 2020 clash?
Rice will come head-to-head against Hojbjerg at Wembley on Wednesday night.
The 22-year-old West Ham ace got the better of his Tottenham counterpart in the Premier League last season.
And he will have to do the same for England on Wednesday. The central midfield area will be key.
Whoever wins that individual battle will give their team the platform they need to go on and win the game.
We’re backing Rice to produce the goods.
Hojbjerg is no mug. He was a top player for Tottenham last season and he has shone for the Danes at the Euros.
Dec just has that little bit extra about him, however. And if gets on top of the Spurs ace and wins the central midfield battle tomorrow, we think England will be in their first major final since 1966.
