Hammers boss David Moyes wants to bring the 25-capped Kosovo international to the London Stadium this summer, according to a report from Sky Sports.

The Scot needs to bolster his defensive ranks first and foremost. He also needs to sign another centre-forward.

With Grady Diangana having already left, however, and Felipe Anderson being linked with an exit (The Mirror), it could be argued that West Ham need a new winger this summer too.

Rashica would be an excellent addition for the Hammers. But it seems as though Aston Villa are in a great position to nab him from the east London outfit.

The Villans have already beaten West Ham to Matty Cash and Ollie Watkins. And it seems as though the west Midlands outfit are set to strike again.

Two very well respected football journalists have claimed that Aston Villa are favourites to win the race for Rashica. And Dean Smith is allegedly preparing a £16 million bid to bring the winger to Villa Park:

Bremen allegedly want closer to £23m for the winger, however (Bulinews).

Stats

The 24-year-old racked up 11 goals and eight assists in 34 games for the Bundesliga outfit (Transfermarkt).

In 28 Bundesliga outings for Bremen, Rashica averaged 2.6 shots, 1.4 key passes and 2 dribbles per game. He was also fouled 1.7 times per game during those appearances (Who Scored).

The Kosovo international is clearly a massive talent. But as things stand, it seems as though he will be playing for Aston Villa next season rather than West Ham.
