He has put in numerous top-class displays for Derby as they continue their push to miraculously escape relegation down to League One, having been handed a 21 point deduction at the start of the season.

One thing’s for sure, if they are to stay up, they will need Morrison to be at his scintillating best between now and the end of the season.

The 29-year-old proved his worth yesterday by scoring both goals for Derby during a 2-0 home win against Barnsley. And one of them was an absolute cracker.

The nine-capped Jamaica international always had a penchant for the extraordinary. He showed that on more than one occasion during his time in East London.

And Ravel Morrison scored a quite brilliant goal for Derby yesterday, showcasing his undeniable talent:

What an incredibly talent Ravel is.

West Ham signed the talented ace from Manchester United way back in 2012 when he was just 19 for a bargain £650k fee (The Guardian).

The 29-year-old spent three years with the Hammers before leaving in 2015.

The mercurial attacking midfielder left Upton Park with fond memories, none more so than his superb solo goal away at Tottenham during a 3-0 win for West Ham.

Morrison seems to be returning to somewhere near his best form for Derby Country under the tutelage of Wayne Rooney. And good luck to him. There’s nothing more we would like to see than a happy and healthy Ravel Morrison flourishing on the football pitch once again.
