Trevor Sinclair suggested that the sooner West Ham sell Felipe Anderson the better, when speaking on talkSPORT yesterday (September 4th, 9.20am).
In other news…Report: West Ham offered chance to sign 15-goal Premier League ace on loan
The 27-year-old Brazilian was in shocking form last season.
He racked up just one goal and four assists in 25 Premier League games for the Hammers.
And Anderson has already been linked with an exit from the London Stadium this summer.
The Mirror claims that he has been offered to Arsenal on loan for £5 million.
In truth, selling or loaning out Anderson would make absolutely no sense considering the fact that we have already sold Grady Diangana.
The Brazilian is the only one of our wingers who is comfortable playing on the left now that Grady has gone.
Sinclair suggested that West Ham should move the 27-year-old on as soon as possible nevertheless, when speaking on talkSPORT yesterday (September 4th, 9.20am):
“Felipe Anderson was awful last season. The sooner you get him out the door, the better.”
You have to feel sorry for David Moyes.
The Scot is clearly trying to build a young and exciting team at the London Stadium. But David Sullivan and David Gold are obviously not allowing him to do that.
West Ham are already a club on the brink of anarchy.
There is a mutiny amongst fans, players and some pundits. And selling Anderson would surely only exacerbate the ill-feeling at the London Stadium at the moment.
Sinclair has a point, but perhaps now would be the wrong time for us to sell another one of our more talented players.
