Arthur Masuaku has reacted on Twitter to Sebastien Haller leaving West Ham United for Ajax.
The 26-year-old completed his £20 million move to Ajax today (Goal).
The Hammers paid £45 million for the Ivory Coast international in the summer of 2019 (BBC).
Sebastien Haller really struggled to impress during his stint at the London Stadium, however.
The former Eintracht Frankfurt hitman scored just 14 goals in 53 games for West Ham (Transfermarkt).
Sebastien Haller never the right fit at West Ham
David Moyes was clearly not a big fan of the 26-year-old. So it came as no surprise today when he was finally moved on.
Haller showed glimpses of his talent during his spell with the Hammers. It was all too infrequent, however. He quite simply didn’t work hard enough and was nowhere near mobile enough for the Premier League.
The Ivorian may well succeed with Ajax, but we must all remember that the Eredivisie is far inferior to the Premier League.
Some West Ham fans will miss the 6ft 3in target man but many will be glad to see the back of him.
One Hammers star was sad to see Haller leave, however.
Arthur Masuaku posted the below tweet on Twitter:
Masuaku’s message translates to: Good luck my little brother thanks for everything I will miss you & I know you will make me proud.
As Arthur did, we wish Haller all the best with Ajax. We hope he does well there.
West Ham will be in far better shape, however, if we bring in a top class, mobile centre-forward to replace the Ivorian.
