Rodney Marsh and Gary Lineker took to Twitter last night and absolutely raved about West Ham United after our 3-1 win over Brighton.

West Ham were seriously effective on the counter-attack against Brighton in the Premier League yesterday, and could have won the game by a far greater margin in all fairness.

Hammers boss David Moyes would have been absolutely delighted with his players and the way that they went about their business against the Seagulls.

Amazingly, West Ham are now sitting top of the table – something that nobody would have predicted a few weeks ago.

Things are now looking bright for the Hammers. Moyes has made some terrific new signings, we’re playing some sharp and incisive football again and we finally got the Brighton monkey off our backs!

The Hammers made some serious waves yesterday evening with our clinical win over Brighton.

Rodney Marsh took to Twitter and suggested that the performance from West Ham was one of the best counter-attacking displays he has seen in a long time:

The boys were spot on there. It really was a terrific display from West Ham against Brighton.

The challenge for Moyes, his staff and the players now will be to maintain those levels for the remainder of the season.

If they are able to do that, then who knows how far we will be able to go?

West Ham were absolutely brilliant against Brighton yesterday. It truly was a joy to watch – let’s hope there’s plenty more to come from Moyes and the boys this season.
