According to a report from the Daily Mail, West Ham are one of the favourites to sign Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek before the transfer window slams shut.
The Telegraph reported last week that that Hammers boss David Moyes wants to bring the 24-year-old Blues ace to the London Stadium.
The Scot made his second signing of the summer transfer window this morning, bringing in Vladimir Coufal from Slavia Prague for around £5.5 million.
West Ham are still in need of further additions, however, if we are to enjoy a successful 2020/21 campaign.
And whilst signing a central midfielder will not be David Moyes’s priority, it could certainly be argued that we lack any kind of depth in the middle of the park.
The Daily Mail claims that the Hammers are one of the favourites to sign Chelsea star Ruben Loftus-Cheek. And the powerful midfielder would be a very useful addition for us.
The Blues ace earns £60,000 per week according to Spotrac. So those wages shouldn’t represent a problem for West Ham.
The 24-year-old barely played last season having sustained a serious injury in the summer of 2019.
He did enjoy a fabulous campaign in the 2018/19 season, however, racking up 10 goals and five assists for Chelsea in 35 appearances (Who Scored).
The 10-capped England international would be an excellent addition for West Ham. His pace, power and technical ability really would give us something extra in the middle of the pitch.
And a loan move to the London Stadium for the Chelsea ace would surely suit all parties involved.
