According to a report from Telefoot, Marseille wanted to sign West Ham striker Sebastien Haller on transfer deadline day, but the deal fell through because the French club couldn’t match the Hammers’ valuation of the 26-year-old.

Haller joined the Hammers from Eintracht Frankfurt in the summer of 2019 for around £45 million (BBC).
But the 26-year-old hitman has failed to establish himself at the London Stadium.
And Haller now finds himself behind Michail Antonio in the centre-forward pecking order at West Ham with David Moyes clearly more keen on the 30-year-old former Nottingham Forest ace.
The French striker scored just seven goals in 34 games for West Ham last season. He has improved this term, however, with five goals in seven games thus far.
Telefoot claims that Marseille tried to sign Haller on transfer deadline day. But they were unable to get a deal over the line because the Hammers were asking for too much money.
It is vitally important that the 26-year-old knuckles down now and works hard. He might have to wait patiently for his chance. But whenever it does come, he must make sure that he is ready to grasp it with both hands.
And if Haller fails to impress between now and the end of the season, it would be no surprise to see West Ham move him on next summer.
