West Ham signed Cornet for £17.5 million from Burnley at the start of August (BBC).

Despite the fact that Cornet hasn’t played that much for the Hammers, he definitely looks like a real player, and he will undoubtedly be a big hit at the London Stadium.
David Moyes is easing him in slowly but we’re sure that it won’t be too long before he starts featuring regularly for West Ham.

Issa Diop convinced Maxwel Cornet to join West Ham
The 25-year-old centre-back left the London Stadium to join Fulham for around £15 million in the middle of August (Sky Sports).
Before Diop left though, he played a key role in Cornet coming to the London Stadium from Burnley.

The Athletic claim that as negotiations between West Ham and Burnley were ongoing, Diop spoke positively about the club to Cornet and helped convince him to join the Hammers.
Diop was never that popular at the London Stadium.
He lacked the concentration needed for a centre-back to succeed at the very highest level. His positional sense was really poor as well.
In spite of that, if he was the main reason why Maxwel Cornet chose to join West Ham, then he’s worth his weight in gold!
Thanks for that Issa!
