Rennes are eyeing a move to sign Tottenham target Evan Ndicka and if the French club win the race for his signature, the West Ham fans will feel very smug indeed.
According to a report from Foot Mercato, the Ligue 1 side are pushing hard to beat Tottenham to the signing of the 22-year-old Eintracht Frankfurt defender this summer.

Unfortunately for us, Aguerd has suffered a serious ankle injury and it isn’t clear as to when he will be ready to return to action.

It should be no longer than a couple of months before Aguerd is back again but in spite of that, it’s still a bitter pill to swallow for him, the fans and of course, David Moyes.
There may well be some good news on the horizon for the Hammers though and it involves Tottenham…
Tottenham may miss out on Ndicka party because of West Ham
According to Foot Mercato, Rennes could beat Spurs in the race to sign Ndicka from Eintracht Frankfurt this summer.
Missing out on the French centre-back will obviously be a big blow for Tottenham, such is Antonio Conte’s need to bring a top class central defender into the club before the start of the new season.
Meanwhile, West Ham will be feeling very smug that we have somehow contributed to Spurs missing out on a key transfer target this summer.
Tottenham have undoubtedly made some very strong moves in the transfer market this summer window. And they will certainly be a huge threat under the guidance of serial winner Antonio Conte next season.

And with that in mind, any little win that the Hammers can get will be very significant for us heading into the 2022/23 campaign.
The Eintracht Frankfurt centre-back is a truly elite defender, and he would undoubtedly strengthened Conte’s defensive ranks at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium considerably. Buli News claims he’s available for around €32 million (£27 million) this summer.
That’s an absolute steal in my view.
So if Ndicka ends up joining Rennes rather than Tottenham before the transfer window slams shut, West Ham will have to take that as a big boost.
Who would have thought that signing Nayef Aguerd would have multiple benefits!
