According to a report from Portuguese media outlet A Bola, West Ham have entered talks to sign Sporting Lisbon ace Jovane Cabral.
Hammers boss David Moyes may well be looking to bolster his attacking department this summer.
ExWHUemployee claimed last week that the Scot is willing to sell Felipe Anderson, Andriy Yarmolenko, Albian Ajeti and even Sebastien Haller this summer in order to raise funds.
If Moyes manages to do that, he will obviously be keen to bring some exciting attacking talent to the London Stadium.
And A Bola claims that West Ham have entered discussions to sign Sporting ace Jovane Cabral who could be available for around €20 million (£18 million).
The 22-year-old racked up six goals and three assists in 16 Primeira Liga games for Sporting this season (Transfermarkt).
In those 16 outings, the Cape Verde international averaged 2.9 shots, 1.3 key passes and 2.3 dribbles per game (Who Scored).
Cabral clearly has a lot of talent, but considering the current climate, £18 million seems like an awful lot of money for someone who is totally unproven in the Premier League.
If West Ham manage to move on the likes of Anderson and Lanzini, however, Moyes should have plenty of cash to spend this summer.
The Scot must decide which positions are in most urgent need of attention though. And in truth, signing a new winger can probably take a back seat right now.
