According to a report from the Times, alleged West Ham target Olivier Ntcham wants to leave Celtic this summer.

90 Min claimed last week that Hammers boss David Moyes is keen to sign the 24-year-old Hoops ace this summer.

Moyes has already strengthened his engine room this summer, having brought Tomas Soucek to the London Stadium on a permanent deal last month.

But it could be argued that the Scot needs further reinforcements in the middle of the park.

Carlos Sanchez has already left – not that he will be a big loss by any means. Mark Noble will turn 34 next year and Declan Rice continues to be linked with an exit from West Ham.

So Celtic ace Olivier Ntcham could be a very useful addition for the Hammers this summer.

And the Times claims that the 24-year-old Frenchman wants to leave Neil Lennon’s Hoops side before the transfer window closes.

Proven talent

The 24-year-old Hoops ace, who has two years remaining on his current deal at Celtic Park, is a vitally important player for Neil Lennon.

But the Celtic boss is allegedly willing to sell him for £20 million this summer (90 Min).

And with the Times now claiming that Ntcham wants to leave Parkhead, the writing seems to be on the wall for his Bhoys career.

Ntcham is a powerful box-to-box midfielder. And he would make a huge difference to West Ham.

The 24-year-old racked up eight goals and three assists in 38 games for Celtic last season (Transfermarkt).

The obvious problem for the Hammers, however, is the Frenchman’s reported £20 million price-tag. As things stand, there is absolutely no way that we will be paying that kind of money this summer.

Perhaps if Moyes manages to sell the likes of Felipe Anderson, Manuel Lanzini, Fabian Balbuena and Jack Wilshere, however, there will be a chance of us signing Ntcham this summer.
