West London Sport have claimed that Queens Park Rangers are interested in signing West Ham midfielder Josh Cullen this summer.
And that should be a big boost to the Hammers’ hopes of landing Eberechi Eze.
QPR were keen to sign Jordan Hugill, and were ready to include the striker in a part exchange deal for Eze (West London Sport).
The 28-year-old completed his move from West Ham to Norwich City yesterday, however, leaving many Hammers fans wondering why on earth we didn’t include the former Preston man in a potential deal to sign Hoops ace Eze.
West Ham fans believed that their hopes of signing the special 22-year-old were over after Hugill joined Norwich.
But there may just be a ray of light for the Hammers.
One last roll of the dice?
West London Sport last night claimed that QPR are looking at a potential move for West Ham midfielder Josh Cullen.
So there is surely still hope that we could resurrect a deal to sign Eze.
West London Sport claims that Crystal Palace and Fulham are currently the front-runners for the 22-year-old’s signature, however. So there is still a lot of work to be done.
But at least there is a way in which we could force ourselves back in the race. Cullen is a decent young player. But he’s 24 now. And it is highly doubtful that he will evolve into an elite Premier League player. The midfielder is more than capable of making a difference for a Championship club, however.
Let’s just hope our owners have their heads screwed on. There is a real chance here to gain an advantage over Fulham and Palace.
With our owners’ track record, however, none of us will be holding out too much hope.
