Jack Collison is open to the idea of returning to West Ham one day in the role of manager of the football club.
Collison, 33, left West Ham back in 2014 to join Ipswich Town on a free transfer.

The 15-capped Wales international was forced to retire from the game just two years later, however, aged just 27 due to a succession of damaging knee injuries.
Collison went on to coach Peterborough under-21s before returning to West Ham as the club’s under-16s manager.

He then moved on to America in June 2019 where he was given the role of coach at MLS side Atlanta United.
Then in June 2021 he was named as head coach of the MLS side’s reserve team.
And it seems as though the former Hammer is open to the idea of returning to East London at some stage of his career…
Jack Collison discusses potential West Ham return
The 33-year-old is obviously forging an impressive coaching career for himself on the other side of the Atlantic.
But when he spoke to The Sun, he admitted that he loves the idea of returning to West Ham at some point in the future:

“I’m competitive and I want to be the best coach I can be and that’s coaching at the highest level possible. I certainly feel like there’s unfinished business back at West Ham. It would be an attractive proposition because of the history I have with the club. Being a young player out of the academy to making the first team…I think those fans love nothing more than seeing one of their own making the breakthrough and doing well on the pitch. I came back as an academy coach so the next step is to go back and be around it as a first-team coach. It’s such a wonderful club. Longer term, it would be a real fairytale story to get the opportunity to go back there and coach one day.”
David Moyes has worked wonders since taking over at the London Stadium for the second time way back in December 2019.
As long as he keeps producing the goods, he will undoubtedly be in charge of West Ham for quite some time to come.
Collison may have to bide his time if he wants a return to the Hammers. He has plenty of time though, he is only 33 after all.
And if the former West Ham man did return to East London, it would be a very popular second coming.
