The Hammers completed the signing of the 25-year-old winger yesterday after paying a £4 million loan fee. The east London outfit will then be obliged to pay a further £21 million plus £5 million in add-ons to make the deal a permanent one next summer (Sky Sports).

The Algerian ace is expected to light up the Premier League much like he did in the Championship with Brentford last season.

Benrahma racked up 17 goals and eight assists for the Bees.

And if he manages to record even half of those numbers for West Ham, David Moyes’s side will undoubtedly have a great season.

“I do like him. He has done an unbelievable gesture at Brentford. And he is a good player. At West Ham, that’s what they need. You have him on one side, Bowen on the other and Antonio up top, that’s a real threat.”

Merson is spot on. We do have an incredibly potent attacking force now.

Let’s just hope that we continue to defend well as a team. And if we do just that, West Ham should have no problem cracking the top 10 this season.
