The Hammers are a team transformed under David Moyes.

Fornals has played a key role in West Ham’s resurgence over the past year or so. The Spaniard is incredibly underrated and produces the goods week in week out for the Hammers.

The 25-year-old has been mightily impressed by one of his teammates as well.

Jarrod Bowen has been exceptional for West Ham over the past 18 months or so.

Bowen, who joined the Hammers from Hull City for £18 million plus add-ons in January 2020 (Express), has now firmly established himself as a key member of David Moyes’s squad at the London Stadium.

The 24-year-old is a constant menace to opposing defenders, has tremendous quality in the final third and does not stop working hard for his team.

Fornals raved about Bowen when speaking to WHUFC.com yesterday:

“He’s trying to score every game and he’s playing a massive part of this West Ham team right now. Why not? Soon, England could make a call for him – he deserves it the same or more than players who are going, so I think if he keeps playing at this level, one hundred per cent he’s going to have his chance.”

Bowen was undoubtedly deserving of a call-up to the England national team this month.

As per usual, however, Gareth Southgate did exactly what he said he wouldn’t…pick players based on reputation rather than current form.

Bowen just needs to keep performing and his time will surely come.

Fornals thinks Bowen receiving an England call-up is just a matter of time. And we make him 100 per cent right.
