Owen Hargreaves raved about West Ham ace Tomas Soucek, when speaking on Amazon Prime last night (Tuesday, December 30th, 17:26).
The 25-year-old Czech ace joined the Hammers originally on loan from Slavia Prague in January.
West Ham made his deal a permanent one in July for around £17 million (Football.London).
Tomas Soucek is now widely considered to be one of the most important players that David Moyes has at his disposal at the London Stadium.
The Czech Republic international’s energy, tenacity and athleticism has totally transformed the Hammers’ play in the middle of the park.
He is also a huge threat from set-pieces.
Owen Hargreaves labels West Ham ace a ‘revelation’
Soucek has scored seven goals in 28 games for West Ham. The £17 million that the Hammers paid for his services now looks like an absolute steal.
And Owen Hargreaves offered high words of praise for the 25-year-old, when speaking on Amazon Prime last night (Tuesday, December 30th, 17:26):
“I think Soucek has been a revelation in that midfield with Declan Rice.”
Soucek is vital to our hopes of finishing inside the top seven or so this season.
Aside from Declan Rice, it could be argued that the Czech ace is our most important player.
Let’s hope he remains fit between now and the end of the season.
Losing Tomas Soucek for a prolonged period of time doesn’t bear thinking about.
