According to football agent Vincenzo Morabito, Lazio are interested in signing West Ham’s very own ‘David Silva’ this summer.

The Italian agent was speaking to Noi Biancocelesti, and suggested that the Hammers play-maker is wanted by Lazio for around €15 million (£13.7 million) because he has the ability to ’emulate David Silva’:
“I mention a name that hasn’t come up yet, a real phenomenon: West Ham’s Lanzini.Lanzini, who is returning from an injury, was valued at 50 million two summers ago. He’s a phenomenal player, able to emulate David Silva, and he costs €15 million.”
Now, many West Ham fans will laugh at the comparison between Lanzini and David Silva.
The former Manchester City midfielder was a true Premier League great. The Hammers man, meanwhile, has been woeful over the past two years.
He racked up just two assists and no goals in 24 Premier League games for West Ham last season (Who Scored).
The 27-year-old clearly has a lot of talent, but the injury he suffered in the build-up to the World Cup in 2018 has obviously wreaked havoc with his playing career.
Argentine’s East End days numbered?
David Moyes needs to raise funds this summer, and fast. And it seems as though Lanzini could be a prime candidate for the chop.
If West Ham do receive an offer in the region of £13.7 million for the South American, it will be very hard for them to turn down.
It would represent a profit on a player who has offered next to nothing over the past 18 months or so.
And if selling Lanzini to Lazio helps David Moyes bring in some much-needed defensive reinforcements, then it is quite simply something the Scot needs to do.
Hammers fans loved the little diamond during his first three years in east London. But he’s not the same player anymore. It’s time to move on…for everyone’s sake.
