The Magpies play host to the Hammers on the opening day of the Premier League season.
The West Ham fans see the Newcastle faithful as somewhat of a kindred spirit.
The Hammers and the Toon owners are far from popular in East London and Tyneside respectively.

David Sullivan and David Gold just haven’t invested enough into the team since we moved to the London Stadium.
The same can be said of Mike Ashley at St James’ Park. Yet both the Hammers and Magpies fans are still as loyal as they come.
Michail Antonio praises the Newcastle fans
St James’ Park will likely be packed to the rafters on Sunday afternoon.
Antonio spoke to WHUFC.com and praised the Geordies:

“Newcastle away, the fans are amazing up there, to be fair! They’re loud and they fully support their team. Hopefully we’ll have some fans up there to help push us, but it’s going to be quality. It’s going to be good and I’m looking forward to it.”
Newcastle took six points off us last season. So David Moyes will know that his Hammers side will be in for a tough game on Tyneside this weekend.
If we start well, just like we have done during our pre-season games, however, there is no reason why we can’t go to St James’ Park and bring all three points back with us to the London Stadium.

There will be plenty of West Ham fans up there cheering on the team. It should be a cracking atmosphere at St James’.
Hopefully the West Ham players kick off the 2021/22 campaign with a bang.
