Micah Richards suggested that West Ham can be boring to watch at times when speaking during Sky Sports production of last night’s game (Saturday October 31st, 19:55).

The Hammers seem to have found a certain kind of resilience under the guidance of David Moyes.

When the Scot was appointed as West Ham boss for the second time last December, many Hammers fans thought it was the wrong appointment.

But he has surely now earned the chance to prove that he has what it takes to guide the east London outfit toward a new era of success.

Moyes has changed the culture at the London Stadium. And we are clearly now a lot harder to beat than we were under Manuel Pellegrini.

West Ham proved just how much of a tough nut to crack they are against Liverpool last night. In truth, we deserved a lot more than a 2-1 defeat.

Micah Richards spoke after the game and responded when asked what he thinks of the new-look Hammers:

“It seems like West Ham have got really organised, and everyone knows their job. I actually enjoy watching West Ham play at the moment. And I couldn’t say that before. I know sometimes they can be boring. But the way they go forward and they counter. They should pat themselves on the back because they’re going in the right direction.”

We are certainly more well-drilled now. That’s for sure. We undoubtedly lack a certain kind of creativity and the cutting edge needed to win games at times, however.

That may well come against the so-called weaker sides.

But all in all, the West Ham players and Moyes should be really proud with the manner in which they have bounced back since the opening day defeat to Newcastle United.

There is still a lot more to come from this Hammers team, however.
