When speaking on Sky Sports (Saturday, October 31st, 18:45), Jamie Carragher delivered his verdict on West Ham striker Sebastien Haller after the Frenchman’s half-hearted display away at Liverpool the evening.

The 26-year-old was given a chance to shine with Michail Antonio out injured. But he fluffed his lines.
Sure, it was Liverpool away. But Haller really does have to do so much more.
His physicality is more or less non-existent. He gives opposing defenders an easy ride. And that quite simply isn’t good enough.
Antonio has laid down the blueprint of what needs to be done when playing up front on your own. And Haller really needs to raise his levels considerably.
Jamie Carragher certainly wasn’t impressed with the £45 million man.
The Liverpool legend responded when asked to deliver his verdict on Haller during live commentary on Sky Sports:
“It’s not easy away from home when you’re not getting much of the ball but I would have expected him to dominate more. Haller has got to do a lot more. He was a big money signing brought into West Ham. He’s come with big pedigree. He got his chance with Antonio out and he hasn’t done anywhere near enough. He doesn’t even make attempts for the ball. You don’t have to win every ball but make a challenge. Make it difficult.”
Carragher is absolutely spot on. There are plenty of fans out there who have backed Haller to the hilt. But even they must admit that he needs to do more.
The Frenchman must have been a joy to play against for the Liverpool defenders this evening.
David Moyes dragged Haller off with around 20 minutes still to play. So the Scot clearly wasn’t very happy with the Frenchman’s display.
And if the 26-year-old doesn’t improve quickly, it is hard to envisage him having any kind of future at the London Stadium.
