The 32-year-old suffered an injury during the Hammers’ pre-season friendly clash with Celtic at Parkhead on Saturday.
David Moyes already has limited options at his disposal in the central defensive department.
So Ogbonna leaving the pitch early would have been a really concern for the Scot and the West Ham fans.

We only have just over two weeks to go until our Premier League opener away at Newcastle. So Ogbonna’s recent injury is certainly something to worry about.
Noble provides Ogbonna update
The Hammers skipper has suggested that the Italian will be just fine.
Noble commented on Ogbonna when speaking to West Ham United’s official website:

“We’ve got an incredible fixture list coming up of games so we’re going to need as many bodies as we can. I think Angelo has got a slight problem, but he’s going to be fine and apart from that everyone got through the game, so we rest up, recover and go again.”
Let’s hope that Oggy is in fact available for our game against Newcastle.
The towering centre-back was a vital player for David Moyes last season.
