Much of West Ham United’s success since football’s return after the first national lockdown has been put down to a fantastic team spirit.
Is Moyes sending a clear message to West Ham owners ahead of January window?
West Ham pulled together under David Moyes to survive at the end of last season.
And the Hammers have made their best start to a season for five years this term.

Hammers can eclipse Farewell Boleyn start at Everton
Indeed victory over Everton on Friday would see Moyes’s side eclipse the points tally West Ham amassed in their Farewell Boleyn campaign.
That famous season ended with the club’s record Premier League points haul of 62 as West Ham paid the price for a joint division highest 14 draws by missing out on the Champions League by just four points.
Everyone from players to the manager, his coaching staff and ITKs have been quick to highlight just how good West Ham’s team spirit is right now.
And according to captain Mark Noble that emanates from a core group of eight or nine players (whufc.com).
“I think the players have been great,” Noble told whufc.com.

Noble names the core group of players who are key to West Ham’s heralded team spirit
“We’ve got a fantastic mixture and a really good dressing room that have pulled together.
“We’ve got quiet characters like Jarrod Bowen who is just such a lovely kid, then you’ve got Snods (Robert Snodgrass) who is at the completely other end of the scale, who is fantastic to have around, a top pro and one of the funniest people you’ll ever meet, but also knows when to take it serious.
“Young Dec (Rice) has grown into himself and is a real leader, but also loves to have a joke. Cress (Aaron Cresswell) who is such a great character, then you’ve got the foreign boys like Andriy (Yarmolenko) and Pablo (Fornals), Arthur (Masuaku) and Seb (Haller)… I could go on forever.
“It’s just a real mix of characters, but we all get on so well, and my job as captain is to make sure that the dressing room is run well and the gaffer doesn’t have to worry about it.”

So refreshing to see toxicity dissipate for happy Hammers
It is so refreshing to see harmony at West Ham after years of inconsistency, upheaval and the presence of an often toxic atmosphere around the club.
West Ham will need that team spirit and togetherness when they travel to Everton for their third game in six days on Friday.
West Ham’s squad may enjoy a laugh but that kind of fixture schedule is no joke.
But with the likes of Michail Antonio back and Bowen, Fornals and Benrahma fresh there is some hope against the high-flying Toffees.
