Mark Noble raved about West Ham ace Declan Rice when speaking to talkSPORT yesterday. The Hammers skipper did admit that there are two or three things that he has told his teammate he needs to change, however.

The 21-year-old Hammers starlet has been in superb form over the past two or three seasons.

Declan Rice has become such an integral player for both West Ham and England over the past couple of years. And he will undoubtedly keep getting better and better.

Unfortunately for the Hammers, his fine displays have not gone unnoticed.

Chelsea (The Times) and Manchester United (Daily Mail) have both allegedly shown interest in signing the 21-year-old midfielder.

Rice is still under contract with West Ham until the summer of 2024, however. We have the option to extend that deal by a further 12 months as well. So the Hammers hold all the cards.

West Ham have to keep hold of the 13-capped England international at all costs. He is truly priceless to us.

Mark Noble makes prediction about West Ham ace Declan Rice

Mark Noble spoke to talkSPORT yesterday and shared just how far he believes Declan Rice can go in the game:

“With Dec, I don’t have to say too much. He’s such a great kid, he’s got a great family. He’s a top, top player. There are two or three things that I have been on at him about over the past two or three seasons to change in what he does. I do believe that if he keeps progressing he will captain England one day. That’s the sort of player he is, he’s also such a level headed kid. You’ve got to remember he’s still only 21.”

Rice has already established himself as an important part of Gareth Southgate’s England team.

The 21-year-old has also proved his leadership skills by captaining West Ham during Mark Noble’s absence from the team.

He will continue to improve. And let’s just hope that Rice stays at the London Stadium for the long-term. In order for that to happen, however, the West Ham board will need to prove to him that they can match his ambition by backing David Moyes in the transfer market.

Unfortunately, we all know how that one ends…
