Hammers boss David Moyes brought the 26-year-old centre-back to the London Stadium from Chelsea for just under £30 million during the latter stages of the summer transfer window.
That fee is already looking like a quite incredible bargain.

Zouma is aerially dominant, quick along the ground and plays with a real kind of enthusiasm that makes him ideally suited to this West Ham team.
The France international will undoubtedly help take us to an entirely new level.
Mark Noble has raved about one West Ham new-boy
The 26-year-old has clearly made a very big impression already at the London Stadium.
The Hammers skipper spoke very highly of Zouma this morning, when speaking to the Evening Standard:

“The situation with Kurt is that it doesn’t really surprise me. He has played at a top level, he’s a top, top player, he’s a French international, a fantastic addition to the squad with the likes of Issa Diop and Angelo Ogbonna and Craig Dawson who have all been fantastic for us. We have strength in depth now and Kurt coming in, playing the way he has done in the last two games has been great for us. For sure, the games we have, we’re going to need him this year.”
Noble has nailed it with those comments.
Zouma already looks right at home:
Zouma has made a superb start to life at West Ham. But has that really surprised anyone? Probably not.
The Frenchman has always been an elite centre-back.
