Lukasz Fabianski shares what he’s observed about David Moyes since West Ham players returned to training

Lukasz Fabianski told WHUFC.com how demanding David Moyes has been since the West Ham players returned to training.

The Hammers were brilliant last season, miraculously ending up in sixth spot in the Premier League table in spite of our paper thin squad.

West Ham have a lot of hard work ahead, however.

With Europa League football on the horizon this season and Moyes having only brought one new player to the London Stadium so far this summer, the Scot will most likely have to work miracles again to get us back inside the top six.

The Hammers boss may well make a few good signings before the transfer window slams shut.

If he doesn’t though, no West Ham fan would be surprised. It’s the way things have gone over the past few years at the London Stadium.

With that in mind, Moyes will have to extract every single drop out of the players he currently has at his disposal this season.

Fabianski spoke to WHUFC.com and suggested that the Scot has been very demanding since day one of pre-season training:

“Even from the first day I arrived back for pre-season, you can see that the manager is really pushing us and continues to be very demanding. He knows that the next season is massive for the Football Club and we all took that on board. We all understand the importance of next season, so we will be ready and we will challenge ourselves to do our very best.”

Moyes has proven his credentials as a top-class manager since returning to West Ham.

If only he was supported adequately by the board. Then he really could produce something special at the London Stadium.

All we can do is wait until the transfer window closes and have full faith in David Moyes. At the very least he will get the absolute most out of the current players once again this season.

And we can’t ask for much more than that from the Scot.
