The 26-year-old Frenchman joined the Hammers from Chelsea late on in the summer transfer window for just under £30 million.
Zouma looked absolutely superb last night. What a player. The fact that Chelsea sold him to us is truly unfathomable.
David Moyes has plenty of other players at the London Stadium who are top class as well, however. Zouma may well just be the icing on the cake.
Kurt Zouma showers West Ham teammate Declan Rice with praise
The 22-year-old was in fine form once again against Zagreb last night.
He completely ran the show and capped off his display with a brilliant solo goal.
Zouma spoke to WHUFC.com and praised Rice to the hilt:

“It was a great goal and a great game for Dec. Everything that’s happened to him, he deserves, because he’s working so hard in training and he’s a top guy – he deserves it all.”
Rice is so important to the way in which West Ham operate as a team.
And to receive such high praise from a player like Zouma, considering some of the teammates he has had in the past, should not be underestimated.
Hopefully Dec and Kurt can lead us to glory this season.
