West Ham United cult hero David ‘Psycho’ Cross took to Twitter last night and suggested that he would have loved to play against Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Ander Herrera for just five minutes!

Cross signed for the Hammers for around £180,000 way back in 1977.
And he instantly endeared himself to the Upton Park faithful with his fearsome presence and aggressive playing style.
Cross scored 78 goals in 179 league games for West Ham.

Not only was he an absolute nightmare to play against from a physical perspective, but he was also a very accomplished goalscorer.
How we could do with ‘Psycho’ now!
The hard as nails striker would have had a field day against some of the modern day players.

David Cross sends message to PSG ace Ander Herrera
The Spaniard is well-known in the game for riling up opponents. He was at it again for PSG against Manchester City in the Champions League last night.
And Cross clearly wasn’t impressed with the volatile PSG ace:
Now that’s something that all West Ham fans would love to see!
Some of the players today wouldn’t have lasted five minutes playing against the likes of David Cross and Billy Bonds.
There is no longer a place in the game for the hard-man type player, what with the new rules.
And that’s a real shame.
We will always look back to that bygone era with great fondness, however. David Cross – a Scouser by birth, was one of us. And if you look at the replies to his tweet, he is still a very popular figure in the East End.
