Jurgen Klopp has suggested that one West Ham ace, aside from Declan Rice, was only reason Liverpool didn’t win by more goals last night.
The Reds won the match against the Hammers 1-0 at Anfield last night, somewhat luckily in my opinion.
West Ham were really poor inside the first 45 minutes, but we totally outplayed Liverpool in the second-half.

In fairness though, Liverpool could have easily been two or three up inside the first-half, and Klopp alluded to that when speaking to reporters last night…
Jurgen Klopp says one West Ham ace was only reason Liverpool didn’t win by more goals
The German addressed the media after last night’s match.
Klopp responded when asked what he thought of his side’s performance in the first 45 last night, as quoted by Liverpool’s official website:
We played really good football, we created, we scored a wonderful goal, hit the post, Fabianski with great saves and big blocks in the decisive areas from West Ham.
In fairness to Fabianski, he did make some big saves for us last night.

I would have liked to see Alphonse Areola save the Darwin Nunez header though. I think the Frenchman may have done better than Fab did, or maybe I’m just being a bit too harsh.
I have been hugely critical of Fabianski in recent months, and I still firmly believe that Areola should be our number one.
It’s hard to criticise the 37-year-old after this performance against Liverpool last night though.
Fabianski is still a consummate professional and always gives 100 per cent every time he plays.
His display against Liverpool for West Ham clearly impressed Jurgen Klopp. In my opinion though, things would have been no different had Areola played instead.
