West Ham owned Joseph Anang starred for Stevenage last night as his side progressed through to the next round of the Carabao Cup after a penalty shoot-out win over Luton.

The 21-year-old left the London Stadium to join The Boro on a season-long loan last month.

Anang has a really bright future with the Hammers.

The youngster is very highly rated at West Ham. And his performance last night proved exactly why.

The 21-year-old made two crucial saves as his side beat Luton 3-2 on penalties after drawing the game 2-2 in normal and extra time.

It is so good to see Anang already impressing during his loan spell at the Lamex Stadium.

The young goalkeeper will undoubtedly return to the London Stadium next summer as a better all-round player.

The experience Anang will gain from playing regular football in League Two and cup competitions will be invaluable for him.

The Stevenage fans will be hoping to reap the benefits from his loan spell with them as well. And if last night is anything to go by, that is exactly what will happen.
