The 28-year-old joined the Hammers on loan from Manchester United in January.

And that proved to be an inspired piece of business from David Moyes.

Lingard racked up nine goals and four assists in 16 Premier League games for West Ham and his superb form helped us finish the season in sixth spot in the Premier League table.

There hard work starts now for the Hammers.

Moyes will be desperate to sign Jesse permanently from Man United this summer.

Jesse Lingard posts Instagram message

The Sun recently claimed that West Ham are very keen to bring the 28-year-old to East London from Old Trafford on a permanent basis before the start of next season.

The Hammers are allegedly concerned that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer now wants to keep Lingard at Manchester United, however (The Sun).

Lingard stoked the flames regarding his future today when he took to Instagram:

So it is clearly still very much up in the air as to whether he will be plying his trade at the London Stadium or Old Trafford next season.

All we can do is hope and pray that Lingard pushes for a move to West Ham in the summer.

With just 12 months remaining on his current deal with Man United, Solskjaer will surely not want to risk losing him for nothing next year.

We’re remaining optimistic.
