West Ham United new boy Said Benrahma has impressed his teammates in training this week.

Ferdinand sends powerful message to new boy Benrahma about West Ham

There has been a lot of excitement surrounding Benrahma since West Ham completed protracted negotiations with Brentford to sign him last Friday.

Benrahma may have to bide his time for a place in the West Ham team.

David Moyes’s side continued their excellent form with that amazing 3-3 comeback draw at Spurs on Sunday.

But it won’t be long until he is knocking on the door by the sounds of it.

That’s according to reliable West Ham insiders Claret & Hugh and ExWHUemployee.

The insiders claim sources at the club told them Benrahma has already impressed his new West Ham teammates in their first few days training together.

ExWHUemployee said: “It was a really good vibe and everyone was buzzing.

“Benrahma looked good again.”

Claret & Hugh’s source said players were suitably impressed.

‘He’s going to cause plenty of problems’

“The midfield playmaker impressed the Irons players with his brilliant abilities and according to one club onlooker is going to cause plenty of problems for Premier League defenders,” Claret & Hugh report.

“He (the source) said: “He looks a very talented player indeed and settled into things right away.”

The Hammers undoubtedly have one of the best, most exciting players around on their books now.

Benrahma will take great encouragement from seeing Jarrod Bowen and Michail Antonio’s success at Premier League level having stepped up from the Championship.

Bowen and co will give Benrahma and Hammers fans hope

And there is inspiration from elsewhere too with the likes of old teammate Ollie Watkins and Matty Cash doing well at Aston Villa.

West Ham’s new attacker has 57 goal involvements – 30 goals and 27 assists – in 94 games over the last two years.

Many ask the question can Benrahma do it in the Premier League? But this is no 1990s Serie A where defending is an art form.

Defending in the top flight has been woeful for some time now. That has been highlighted by the ridiculous and record-breaking glut of goals seen so far this term.

If anything the Algerian playmaker will be licking his lips.

Was Moyes ‘up yours’ gesture meant for Mourinho, mockers or GSB?
