West Ham landed a deadline day deal to sign Benrahma from Brentford.
The deal is effectively permanent. But it is officially a £5m loan with an obligation to buy at the end of the season for over £20million with add ons.
That is reportedly dependent on further investigation into the player’s medical results satisfying West Ham that there are no issues of concern (The Athletic).

Benrahma finally set for big stage with Hammers
Benrahma has been one of the most exciting players outside the Premier League in recent seasons.
He has long been linked with a move to the top flight. West Ham have taken the chance on him and David Moyes is hoping the Algerian can put his dazzling skills to good use for him in the top flight.
West Ham fans love a maverick and have had plenty of them down the years.

And while Rio enjoyed most of his success with Manchester United, Anton in particular still bleeds claret and blue.
The former Hammers centre-back took to Twitter this week to send a powerful message to Benrahma about his old club.
“Can’t wait to see this guy in the famous claret and blue strip good luck Said Benrahma,” Ferdinand said on Twitter.
“Work hard and excite the fans like I’ve watched you do for Brentford and you will be a success at this massive football club.”
Benrahma’s signing came too late for him to make the West Ham squad for Sunday’s memorable 3-3 draw at Tottenham.

Some West Ham fans have raised the question whether Benrahma is defensively disciplined enough to suit a David Moyes team.
His old boss at Brentford, Thomas Frank, made a mockery of such claims. The Bees boss has provided a glowing assessment of Benrahma’s attitude and attributes following his departure – read the full story here.
