The Hammers have made a superb start to their 2020/21 Premier League campaign.
We are currently sitting in fifth spot in the table and can jump up into fourth if we beat Fulham at Craven Cottage tomorrow with Liverpool not playing until Sunday.
David Moyes deserves huge credit for the job that he has done at the London Stadium.
West Ham are a proper team now. We are well-organised, well-drilled and defensively sound.
What a refreshing change it has been to watch the boys in action this season!
Ian Wright backs West Ham for top four
The Hammers have a real chance to quality for the Europa League this season.
Perhaps we should be setting our sights even higher, however.
Ian Wright suggested that West Ham have every chance of forcing their way in amongst the Premier League’s elite this season, when speaking on the Kelly and Wrighty Show:
“Yes, they can challenge. What they can do is take each game as they come. David Moyes is experienced enough to know that they can probably beat most teams, if they are playing like they’re playing. They absolutely can challenge because you cannot look at any team other than Manchester City and say they’ll be in there as well. West Ham have got a good chance of doing it.”
It’s great to see our fine form finally being recognised by members of the media.
West Ham have gone under the radar for most fo the season. And in truth, there is nothing wrong with that.
It is nice to finally get some recognition for our sublime performances from one of the game’s most high profile pundits, however.
