Harry Redknapp predicts where West Ham will finish this season

Harry Redknapp predicted a mid-table finish for West Ham this season, when speaking on Sky Sports last night (October 5th, 22:26).

Hammers fans had to endure an absolutely disastrous transfer deadline day.

We lost Josh Cullen to Anderlecht, released Jack Wilshere, and it seems as though Felipe Anderson is on his way to Porto on loan. Let’s not forget Grady Diangana leaving for West Brom earlier on in the window either.

Meanwhile, West Ham failed to add to the signings of Tomas Soucek and Vladimir Coufal.

It is absolutely vital that David Moyes brings at least two, and preferably three, players from the Championship to the London Stadium before next week’s deadline, if we are to enjoy a decent campaign this season.

Harry Redknapp doesn’t see it that way though.

The former West Ham boss backed David Moyes’s side to finish mid-table, when speaking on Sky Sports last night (October 5th, 22:26):

“I think West Ham will be fine this season, I don’t see them in a relegation scrap. I think they are certainly a team who can finish roundabout halfway this year. I certainly don’t see them getting relegated this season.”

That really is a rather optimistic prediction from Harry.

We are so short defensively and in midfield. Our squad is down to the bare bones, and if we suffer any injuries to key players we could be in real trouble.

David Moyes can turn that all around of course with a few astute signings between now and next week.

But none of use will have any faith in David Sullivan providing the Scot with the funds he needs to make that happen.
