Legend Frank McAvennie knows a thing or two about being a success up front for West Ham United.
Massive boost as West Ham striker returns from injury to give Moyes new option
McAvennie scored 50 goals in two spells with West Ham.
That is a milestone £45million current Hammers forward Sebastien Haller never looks like reaching.
Haller put in another woeful performance in the 2-1 win at Leeds on Friday night.

Haller blows another big chance to shine for West Ham
As was the case against Manchester United, West Ham should have been out of sight with the chances they created.
Haller missed a hat-trick of opportunities himself.
The Ivorian was also at fault for Leeds’s goal, failing miserably to hold the ball up before Patrick Bamford was put through to win a penalty.
The performance was typical of Haller since signing for West Ham 18 months ago.
And it proved West Ham legend McAvennie right in his brutal assessment of Haller ahead of the Leeds game on The West Ham Way Extra Time podcast (December 10th).

Hammers legend McAvennie proved right with brutal assessment of striker before Leeds game
“The boy Haller is not his (Moyes’s) kind of player, I can tell you that,” McAvennie said on The West Ham Way Extra Time podcast (December 10th).
“The boy Haller I don’t get him, he comes to every ball. He comes forward to the ball. And I’m thinking ‘they don’t want you (doing that every time)’.
“He’s not the best at keeping the ball if I can say that. So why would you want to keep coming forward…
“I just don’t get why he wants to keep coming short. Because he comes short and doesn’t turn, whereas (Michail) Antonio comes short and if he’s got getting it, he’ll turn and they can hit it over the top for him. And that’s what strikers do, leave space for (the likes of Tomas) Soucek.”

Moyes must change up striker options in January
With the January window looming it may be time for West Ham to cut their losses on Haller if they can find a club willing to take him.
West Ham have been linked with the likes of Josh King (Claret & Hugh) and Moussa Dembele (The Sun).
But the truth is any hard working, mobile striker would enjoy success in this creative West Ham side.
