David Moyes has been really impressed by Conor Coventry during pre-season according to well renowned West Ham insider ExWHUemployee.

Many Hammers fans believe that David Moyes needs to strengthen his central midfield department at the London Stadium this summer.
There have been calls for the West Ham boss to bring in more quality competition and cover for Declan Rice and Tomas Soucek.
Moyes has club captain Mark Noble in reserve as well of course.

Perhaps there is another player who will push Rice and Soucek to the hilt this season, however.

That’s according to Hammers insider ExWHUemployee when speaking on the West Ham Way podcast.
The 21-year-old has been quite simply brilliant during our pre-season games so far, especially against Leyton Orient.

He seems to have matured as a player both physically and mentally.
The Republic of Ireland under-21 international has real energy, is comfortable in possession of the football and he never hides.
Sure, the lack of signings this summer is incredibly frustrating. We do have so many good young players coming through the ranks, however. Conor Coventry is undoubtedly one of those.

He certainly seems to be more than ready to make an impact for West Ham United in the Premier League.
