Emmanuel Longelo has signed a new contract with West Ham United that runs until the summer of 2023, as confirmed via the club’s official website.

And some Hammers fans have reacted jubilantly to the news on Twitter.

Longelo has really impressed for West Ham’s youth teams this season.

The 20-year-old left-back has played 84 combined games for the Hammers under-23’s and under-18’s.

During those outings, he has racked up eight goals and 11 assists – a fine return for a left-back.

Longelo is athletic, energetic and possesses pace in abundance.

He has already made his debut for the senior team, and really impressed during a 21 minute run out for West Ham against Hull City in the Carabao Cup.

Longelo certainly didn’t look out of place playing alongside senior pros, that’s for sure.
