Emerson Palmieri has just described his new West Ham United teammate as an ‘animal’.

Hammers boss David Moyes has brought in four new players so far – Edson Alvarez, James Ward-Prowse, Konstantinos Mavropanos and Mohammed Kudus, with more thought to be on their way.

West Ham have made a great start to our Premier League campaign, having taken seven points from our opening three games.
The feel-good factor is certainly at an all-time high at the London Stadium, and why wouldn’t it be with so many exciting new additions coming into the club this summer…
Emerson Palmieri admits he’s been blown away by ‘unbelievable’ West Ham ‘animal’
The Hammers left-back was in buoyant mood when speaking to the club’s official website.
And Emerson absolutely raved about Edson Alvarez:

“Edson is a more defensive player. He’s an animal. He is a hard worker and, in the game, you can see him moving. He’s unbelievable because he runs for everyone. He’s an animal because, in training and in the warm-ups, he’s like he’s in the games. He wants to put in 100 per cent all the time. When you have a guy like this, who wants to fight and run for everyone, it makes it something that everyone wants to do. He’s our teammate and when Álvarez does these things, we want to do it too.”
Alvarez really does look like the real deal already, and I have no doubts that £34 million will end up looking like an absolute snip for West Ham.
Moyes really does deserve huge credit for the manner in which he has reinvested the Declan Rice money.
The comments from Emerson on Alvarez prove what a fantastic player West Ham have on our hands.
And I’m really looking forward to watching him in action for us this season.
