Scamacca joined the Hammers from Sassuolo in the summer for around £35.5 million (Sky Sports).
Meanwhile, Moyes brought Paqueta to the London Stadium for around £51 million (The Times).
It’s down to Moyes to get the best out of the two players who are both considered to be elite talents. One journalist in particular has shared how it will take time to bed both players in at the London Stadium…
Dharmesh sheath delivers Gianluca Scamacca and Lucas Paqueta verdict
The West Ham fans are still yet to see the best of the Italian and the Brazilian.
That time will come though, according to Sky Sports report Dharmesh Sheth who told Give Me Sport:
With regard to someone like Paqueta and with regard to Scamacca, they’ve come from a different league remember. It’s all well and good saying, ‘They’re playing in the wrong position. If you play them in this certain position, then everything is going to be fine.’ It’s not going to be as easy as that. They’re coming to a new country, a new league, a new challenge. There are a lot of other things that they need to get used to, as well as what happens on the pitch on a Saturday, and I think once everything else settles around them, I think you’ll be able to see the best of these players.
It’s a fair point from Sheth.
We have to say though, both players are experienced internationals and we really don’t think that there is any need for David Moyes to ‘ease them in’.
In fact, we think that not giving Gianluca Scamacca and Lucas Paqueta 90 minutes on a consistent basis could end up hindering the duo.
The Italian and the Brazilian need to find rhythm in the Premier League and the only way they’ll get that is if they play regularly.
The onus is on Moyes to get the best out of Scamacca and Paqueta. Whether he manages to do just that though, remains to be seen.
