A video showing Declan Rice with Mason Mount picking a combined West Ham and Chelsea five-a-side team circulated on Twitter last night.

And the eight second clip has been taken completely out of context.

The 22-year-old Hammers ace has been heavily linked with a move to Chelsea recently (The Telegraph and The Evening Standard).

Those rumours and links intensified last week when The Telegraph’s Matt Law claimed that Rice had turned down two new contract offers from West Ham.

We are still hopeful that Dec will stay at the London Stadium. David Moyes will surely fight tooth and nail to keep him at the club. He is his most important player after all.

Chelsea fans began to circulate the below eight-second clip on Twitter last night:

The Chelsea faithful took the clip completely out of context, however.

Dec was talking about the perfect West Ham and Chelsea five-a-side team.

He also chose Michail Antonio as the centre-forward…that part was conveniently left out.

Rice seems very happy at the London Stadium.

If the West Ham owners show some ambition in the transfer market this summer, there is no reason why we can’t keep the 22-year-old at the club.

This story will undoubtedly have plenty of twists and turns throughout the summer.
