Declan Rice backed West Ham to finish inside the top 10 this season, when speaking on the Super 6 Podcast with Laura Woods and Adebayo Akinfenwa.
The Hammers have made a wonderful start to the 2020/21 Premier League campaign.
West Ham have taken 14 points from our opening nine games and we have already played six of last season’s top eight teams.
David Moyes deserves great credit for the manner in which he has turned things around at the London Stadium over the past 11 months.
Most importantly, the Hammers are now a team that no other side will want to play. And it wasn’t always that way. We were seen as somewhat of an easy touch under Manuel Pellegrini. It’s just not that way any more.
There is no doubt that the east London outfit can push on towards the top 10 this term.
And star man Declan Rice responded when asked where West Ham will finish in the table this season, during an appearance on the Super 6 Podcast:
“I’m going to say top 10.”
That was a fairly cautious prediction from Rice. Perhaps he has learned from his manager David Moyes’s ‘promise less, deliver more’ mantra.
West Ham are well capable of forcing their way inside the top seven or eight this season.
And perhaps if Moyes brings one or two quality new signings to the London Stadium in January, the Hammers can aim even higher than that.
