David Moyes will be making a grave error if he drops Gianluca Scamacca after his disaster-class for West Ham against Liverpool last night.
The Hammers were unfortunate to lose 1-0 to Liverpool at Anfield. In fact, it could be argued that we actually deserved to win the game.
One of the disappointing aspects of the game, however, was the performance of Gianluca Scamacca.

The £35 million (Sky Sports) that David Moyes paid to bring him to the London Stadium will end up being an absolute bargain in my opinion.
And Moyes cannot afford to let last night’s poor display by the Italian influence his team selection for our clash with Bournemouth on Monday night…
Moyes will be making grave error if he drops Gianluca Scamacca after West Ham disaster-class
The 23-year-old was far from his best against Liverpool last night.
His link up play was poor and he never really protected the ball, when it was lumped forward to him.
In fairness to Scamacca though, he was totally isolated in the first-half, and didn’t have any West Ham players near him to help.
Now, if Moyes drops the ex-Sassuolo ace for our clash with Bournemouth on Monday night, it will really affect his confidence.

Instead, the Scot should look at the clash with the Cherries as an ideal opportunity for Scamacca to get right back on track, and get in amongst the goals again.
Anfield is never an easy place to play, let alone an easy place to score if you’re playing for the visiting team.
Many top strikers have had nightmares when playing against Liverpool away, and that certainly happened to Scamacca yesterday.
The thing is, Moyes needs to realise that the Italian needs his support. Being dropped against Bournemouth on Monday could have a hugely adverse effect on his West Ham career.
Gianluca Scamacca must start for West Ham on Monday night. He needs a proper run of games to find a rhythm.
And if Moyes doesn’t start him against Bournemouth, it may end up being a grave error.
