Under pressure David Moyes has been set a points target in the next three games to keep the West Ham job claim insiders.
West Ham rounded off a woeful week with their third home defeat in six days against Leicester.
The Hammers huffed and puffed but continued to look both completely toothless and painfully slow at the back.
And they paid the price with Leicester being far more clinical and economical with the ball in 2-0 win which piled even greater pressure on Moyes.
The result leaves West Ham just two places and one point off the relegation zone going into the World Cup break.

It also presents the manager with an opportunity to go back to the drawing board with his staff in a bid to fix West Ham’s problems.
And they will need to do just that in order to turn things around quickly when the Premier League resumes on Boxing Day – away at league leaders Arsenal.
Because Moyes has been set a points target in next three games to keep the West Ham job claim insiders.
After the Palace defeat last week West Ham majority stakeholder David Sullivan told Hammers News he and the board were “100 per cent” behind the manager.
That was before defeats to Blackburn and Leicester, the latter of which means West Ham have just 13 wins from their last 42 Premier League matches.
Moyes will definitely still be West Ham manager after the World Cup break.
But according to insiders speaking to Claret and Hugh, previous Hammers managers were given specific points vs games targets down the years and “there’s no reason to believe that won’t be how it is handled this time around”.
“Two or three CandH sources who understand how the board work and have been close to things down the years are saying much the same thing tonight,” Claret and Hugh reported at the weekend.
“They are unanimous in believing that the manager will have to take a minimum of five points from the next three games when the team return to action after the events in Qatar.
“With games coming against Arsenal away, Brentford at home and Leeds away that could be tough.”
The benchmark of 40 points is recognised as the target amount to stay up in any given Premier League season.
That’s despite West Ham holding the unwanted record of having been relegated on a record 42 points what will be 20 years ago at the end of this season.
The Hammers have slipped behind that points per game rate with just 14 from the first 15 matches. Ideally West Ham would be on at least 20 points at the halfway stage when 19 have been played.
But it seems Moyes’ boys must get to 19 points from 18 played to keep him in a job according to the inside sources.
